UAE, Abu Dhabi – Mohamad Karaki Vs Hossein Mollamahdi started off with the Iranian trying to going for a cheap shot, a hook to the face of Karaki who was trying to touch gloves. Be it intentional or not, Karaki showed super skills and looked very good as a middle weight, finishing the fight in the first round by way of arm bar/triangle submission.
Mollamahdi entered this fight with a previous loss at GFC in Dubai, but walks in with a strong 2-2 record and a solid base in wrestling. Karaki had been out of action for 14 months and the fight marked his debut at 84 KG.
This fight was the first fight on the main card at Desert Force 13 which took place at FGB Arena in Abu Dhabi.
After trading a bit of leather, it didn’t take Karaki long to work for the armbar! He almost had it but Hossein scrambled out of it, right back into Karakis guard. Karaki quickly works for a triangle he has it! A powerful warning from Karaki to Sami Antar whom he will face for the Light Heavyweight title in December!
This marks Karaki’s fourth consecutive win to a clean 4-0 record.
