Yousef Wehbe Vs Anas Siraj Mounir Title Fight Booked For Desert Force 26

A lightweight title fight between reigning champion Youssef Wehbe (6-3-0) and Anas Siraj Mounir (5-1-0) has been set for the upcoming Desert Force 26 event, with the official date yet to be confirmed.

This fight has been eagerly anticipated since Anas Siraj Mounir called out Youssef Wehbe following the champ’s victory over Mohammad Triki. Since then, Wehbe has positioned himself as the leading man at lightweight. There’s also added spice to this match-up as the Lebanese has frequently made it clear that Anas does not deserve to be fighting him, yet, he will still take this fight.

Yousef Wehbe was handed the Desert Force lightweight championship belt after his convincing victory against the division’s former champion Mohammad Triki at Desert Force 24. This was Wehbe’s fourth consecutive win under the Desert Force banner, but not his best performance as he openly admitted during the post fight interview.

His challenger, the “Moroccan Sensation” Anas Siraj Mounir registered a beautiful TKO win in his Desert Force debut as a welterweight, but then struggled when he faced the current welterweight champion Mounir Lazzez at Desert Force 10, getting caught in a brutal head-kick KO after being on the winning end of the fight. However, he bounced back this past March with a decision victory over Amr Wahman at Desert Force 16 in Saudi Arabia, before dropping to lightweight and scoring another spectacular submission win against the former champion Tareq Hamdi at Desert Force 20.
