Sources: Moise Rimbon To Face UFC Veteran In Phoenix 2 Title Fight

French MMA legend Moise Rimbon (23-11-3) will take on UFC Veteran during his second appearance at Phoenix 2. Someone close to Moise Rimbon’s camp confirmed the news to ArabsMMA, yet he did not disclose the name of his opponent.

Rimbon took part of Phoenix 1 this December and composedly locked a Kimura submission against Bruno Silva, impressing the local crowds and ending his 10 fight winning streak.

The promotion’s historic debut in Lebanon was an unprecedented sports experience in the Middle East and a complete success, anchored by a unique blend of world class Muay Thai and MMA cards. The night was headlined by the legendary Buakaw Banchamek Vs Andrei Kulebin (Muay Thai), and Davi Ramos Vs Nick Piedmont (MMA).

There has been no official announcements for the Phoenix 2 line-up yet, but it looks like some of the Phoenix 1 fighters will come into view again.

Rimbon has been fighting elite competition since the year 2000, with some notable names on his resume such as Alistair Overeem and Antonio Rogerio Nogueira. Phuket Top Team’s pride and joy, at the age of 35, is in the best form of his life having won nine out of his last eleven fights.

The Frenchman has definitely enjoyed his first experience in Beirut, appreciating how welcoming and friendly the people are, and the treatment he got from Phoenix. We too are looking forward to seeing Rimbon back in the cage in what promises to be one of the most thrilling match-up’s to ever hit the Middle East.
