French newcomer Julien Piednoir (8-2 K1, 6-3 MMA) will replace injured Ramy Hamed and face Jarrah Al Selawi at Desert Force 23.
The new matchup was revealed today on Desert Force’s official instagram account.
Desert Force 23 takes place at the Ghazir Stadium in Lebanon on May 30 and is headlined by a middleweight title fight between the current champ Mohammad Karaki and Yacine Bandoui.
Piednoir was supposed to make his DF debut against Jarrah Al Selawi at the last Desert Force 22 event before sustaining an injury that forced him to pull out. He was then replaced by Artem Reznikov who faced Jarrah in what ended as one of the most controversial fights in the promotion, stirring up debate among DF officials, fans, fighters, and analysts alike.
Now, Desert Force has given Jarrah his initial match-up, Julien Piednour. Let’s see how this one turns out!
