The 2015 IMMAF World Championships kicked off today [Monday July 6, 2015] at the at the Flamingo Las Vegas beginning with the preliminaries of the five-day tournament from Monday, July 6 to Thursday, July 9. The finals of the IMMAF World Championships will move to the UFC Fan Expo® at the Sands Expo & Convention Center at the Venetian on Saturday, July 11, where IMMAF’s 2015 champions and medalists will be crowned.

With Bahrain and Lebanon representing the Arab world in the first day of IMMAF amateur world championship, it was Joeshwa the baptist Mortada from Team Lebanon who made noise early on that day!

Mortada, the lightweight prospect faced Kaushik Boloor from India in a one sided matchup ending the bout half way through the first with ferocious ground and pound.

Mortada opened up with a beautiful takedown, managed to keep pressure on his Indian opponent, sinking in an Americana before dropping some serious GnP from mount ending the fight 2.40 minutes into the first stanza.

The first fighter from Lebanon advances to day 2 of the competition .
